A romantic wedding at Lord Thompson Manor in Thompson CT is the absolute PERFECT spring kick off for my wedding season! You *might notice that I do photograph wedding at Lord Thompson Manor quite a bit, and you aren’t wrong! It is literally my favorite place to work, as I have said many many times before. I love how Katie and Pete incorporated their love of books and reading into their centerpieces, I spent a lot of time looking at the titles and chuckling because they were SO them. From Harry Potter to birding books, they took the time to personalize every detail at their wedding. That’s one of the things I love so much, discovering who my clients are at their events. From the romantic florals, to the hand chosen books, to the cute Dutch accents all over to pics of their cat Rory, it really felt like their wedding!
Jackie, Janice, Ted and team really outdid themselves as they always do for every client at the Manor. It was such a treat working together to make Katie and Pete’s wedding day perfect.

I love when my couples open their wedding day gifts while I am there to photograph it. When Katie opened her gift from Peter, she was so emotional! She had just told me what she gifted Pete, a painting of the dunes on the Cape where they had gotten engaged. As it turns out Pete had gotten Katie a blown glass ball filled with sand from the very dune they had gotten engaged! It was so sweet to see how on the same page they both were.
One of the most delightful details of Katie and Pete’s romantic wedding at Lord Thompson manor were these sweet all white bouquets the bridesmaids were holding….! Jackie from Lord Thompson Manor is a literal design genius. I just love her unmatched eye for detail and texture and overall coziness.
Before we headed to the ceremony, we did a few portraits with the ladies on the gorgeous porch of the spa!
Katie and Pete’s ceremony was at a gorgeous stone church in Pomfret.
Back at Lord Thompson Manor we did the toasts and announcements outside then headed straight into cocktail hour! It was a gorgeous spring day, absolutely perfect for their romantic wedding at Lord Thompson manor.
Before the guests arrived for cocktail hour we popped around the Manor for some portraits and had so much fun with their wedding party!
Katie and Pete’s band, Men in Black, from Boston were AMAZING and brought the right energy and atmosphere to keep the dance floor packed the entire night!
