Lord Thompson Manor is one of my most photographed wedding venues in Connecticut, and a place that truly feels like a second home. As a wedding photographer who works at Lord Thompson Manor often, I know the flow of the day, the best locations in every season, and how the light moves across the property from morning to sunset. I also know the staff incredibly well. After years of working together, we operate like family, communicating easily and supporting one another so the day feels calm, organized, and genuinely enjoyable for everyone involved.
The images in this gallery are pulled from years of Lord Thompson Manor weddings, photographed across all seasons and weather conditions. You’ll see bright summer days, soft fall light, cozy winter tones, and everything in between. I’m intentional about showing real weddings in real conditions, because I want my couples to see how their venue can look for their wedding day, not just one perfectly styled moment.
What keeps me creatively inspired is that no two weddings here ever feel the same. Even after photographing Lord Thompson Manor many times, I still arrive excited and creatively engaged, responding to the season, the weather, and the unique energy each couple brings to the space.
Knowing a venue this deeply doesn’t take away the magic. It enhances it. It creates space for natural moments, real connection, and photographs that feel effortless, honest, and true to the day.

"Hiring Carla for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made in planning.
By the time we were scheduled to take photos, I was worried - hair and makeup ran an hour late and something we feared for the entire 2 years of planning (rain on the wedding day!) happened.
 But Carla was THERE for me!
She brought the most positive, fun, and energetic attitude to our wedding that it completely took my mind off of the disappointment from the rain.
We often feel uncomfortable in front of the camera and tend to take “bad photos,” but working with Carla felt like hanging out with a friend, and put us right at ease.
