Looking for a rustic barn venue in Connecticut? LOOK NO FURTHER than Pinecroft Estate in Thompson CT!! Hana and Matt found Pinecroft Estate for their wedding and knew right away that it was the perfect place to host their rustic, intimate wedding. Surrounded by their family and closest friends, Hana and Matt exchanged their vows on the property of Pinecroft Estate on a chillier than normal June afternoon.
Hana got ready in Pinecroft’s wedding suite with her friends and family. They wanted to do a first look on the property and do their portraits and family photos done before the wedding ceremony so that they could just join in the festivities right away! So we ventured around the property and discovered this stunning spot of ferns by the water and had a great time making some portraits together!

Hana and Matt are fun loving and free spirited people and really wanted their wedding photographs that we created at Pinecroft Estate to reflect that! After each ‘normal’ family photo we did they wanted to freestyle and do something silly. They were the BEST freestylers I have ever photographed! They kept me laughing all day with their easy, fun energy and I really really feel like it shows in their photographs!
Their ceremony was right on the property of Pinecroft Estate in Thompson CT. It was chilly, so in the middle of the ceremony Matt noticed that Hana was shivering (in June! It was sooo chilly!) so he gave her his jacket. Such a sweet moment!
Hana is a dance instructor so of course her dances with Matt and her Dad were beautifully choreographed and magnificent! I love the rustic feel of The Pinecroft Estate and how cozy and warm the vibe is.
This crowd was ready to DANCE and have so much fun!! I had a great time dancing, I mean working, while photographing them dancing! The joy and energy absolutely RADIATES through their photos and I am absolutely SPAMMING their post with these fun photos!
I remember when I was studying film photography at RIT way back in the day and we learned about a technique called ‘drag shutter’ in my Photo 1 class. I was enamored with it immediately – or as ‘immediate’ as film photography would allow, LOL- I loved how it really changed the environment in such an artful, colorful and dynamic way, adding motion to something that totally SHOULD have motion! I mean, it’s your dance photos let’s show the fun and movement, right? So, I joined in the fun, too!
Hana and Matt, I had SO MUCH fun at your wedding at Pinecroft Estate in Thompson CT and wish you so much happiness together!
