My most important job as your photographer is to tell the story of your wedding day while making you and your family and friends comfortable.
I believe the more comfortable you are, the better your pictures will be.
My typical client loves their family + friends over anything. Always, always. They value time spent together, and are able to appreciate the quieter moments in their relationships, that strung together, share a story of deep love.
They appreciate beautiful photography, art and design. Someone who lets me do what I do best, and trusts my many years of experience in the industry. Whether you are the most camera-shy person or the biggest ham, there is no cookie-cutter approach to every client.
I will get you comfortable in a way that is best for you.
As a Queer Mexican-American woman, I pride myself on being a welcoming + inclusive photographer + human being and embrace everyone. I am so happy you are here to view my work, stay as long as you’d like and please feel free to leave a comment or share any posts!
XO Carla Ten Eyck

These two. What do I even say??? Ashley and Ray (or Ray Ray as I got to calling him) are like photography family to me and my studio. A few years back I photographed Ashley’s sister Jessica’s wedding and got to know their family and just fall in love with them then. They were so […]

One wedding that has stood out to me over the years was the classic, beautiful Greek wedding of George and Demetra at Mechanics Hall in Worcester MA. There was so much tradition, family, love, laughing and old school chivalry happening all day, I couldn’t help but smile the entire day. From their families sweet loving […]

Going to school for photography certainly has its perks. Aside from the crazzyyyy student loans (which I finally paid off in 2012, and I graduated in 1995…yes. yes. omg. YES.) I was lucky enough to get some sizable scholarships to the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester NY (and STILL had sizable loans… what […]

When I was younger I used to love playing dress up with my dolls. I would set up elaborate houses made of kleenex boxes and weird odds and ends that I would find to substitute for not having the Barbie Dream House! It was bootleg at best, but I had fun getting creative with what […]

There is so much I get excited about with my work, and one of the things that gets me fired up is being able to show my work the way that I think it should be shown. What better way to do this than by teaming up with my favorite designer like… EVAH… my bff […]
