An autumn Lord Thompson Manor wedding to close out my 2022 wedding season? Not only that… but an autumn Lord Thompson Manor wedding where it was almost 70 degrees? In November? In Connecticut? HECK YEAH! Add to this the absolutely gorgeous and lush red carpet of Japanese Maple leaves in front of the venue, paired with that buttery and delicious golden light and THEN add in Lindsey and Matt? I literally was on the verge of tears all day; from how beautiful everything was, to how much I adored Lindsey and her easy going and fun nature to closing one of my favorite wedding seasons out at my most favorite wedding venue, Lord Thompson Manor.
Yeah, I am an excitable gal.
Isn’t that a fun way to go through life, though? Just absolutely ticked to tears by light, or texture. The vibrant color of those leaves, or that I could see every delicate edge like big, giant red snowflakes. I can still conjure up the way they smelled, like… fall. The ache is in my chest now, as I remember Lindsey and Matt’s wedding day.
Come check out their images and see what I mean!

I start each Lord Thompson Manor wedding at The Spa. It’s an all white, crisp clean and gorgeous space where the bride or groom can choose to get ready. I have been so inspired by the spa and how it makes me feel there that I remade my bedroom in all white in homage to it! A truly relaxing way to start your wedding weekend at Lord Thompson Manor!
Lindsey wanted to do a first look with her Dad, and I just adored his reaction! Then she had a snuggle pile with her sisters, also I am a huge fan of group hugs!
Then we made some time for some portraits here, before arriving at the deep rich tones of the Lord Thompson Manor. Lindsey’s bridesmaids dresses were GORGEOUS. Like. I couldn’t pick a favorite I wanted them all- and together they sang an absolute SONG together!
I am a big fan of a first look. My most favorite spot is right outside the stately front door of the manor. It’s always in nice open shade and allows me to se both of their reactions. Not to mention if the wedding party wanted to sneak a peek from a window no one would be the wiser!
This side yard area was a new spot for me to do some portraits! This rich red carpet of fallen leaves felt like a scene straight out of Frozen 2 and my heart was lit on FIRE the entire time!
THEN! The light went: BOOP. And so did my heart. And then we had so much fun with the wedding party in this light with these leaves and I almost had a heart attack from pure JOY and inspiration!
I couldn’t stop! We did their family photos here as well with this gorgeous backlight and stunning fall color!
Then my new favorite nook aka my own personal photography studio inside the delightful Lord Thompson Manor!
Deep fall colors and gorgeous details abound! Jackie and her team at Lord Thompson Manor are just the BEST!
Can you just feel the warmth from the sun here? NO jackets! NO heaters! It was CRAZY BEAUTIFUL for a November wedding!
Toasts right after the ceremony are just one of my favorite parts of working at Lord Thompson Manor!
The fire pit is blazing, and lots of comfy nooks to snuggle up with your cocktail hour snacks!
Lindsey and Matt’s family and friends were ready to PARTY!!! The Silver Arrow Band was AMAZING! Also, Matt’s dance with his Mom was a total surprise!! Matt might be a teeny bit reserved for photos but he just let it all out on the dance floor and I was a huge fan!
Lindsey and Matt, thank you, thank you THANK YOU for trusting me with your wedding. It was SO MUCH FUN! I couldn’t have been happier to end my 2022 than right there with you both! XOXO
