Smith Farm Gardens in East Haddam CT is one of the most magical wedding and event venues in all of Connecticut. I can’t stress this enough! The owners are the sweetest people with the biggest hearts and the greenest thumbs. As a fellow gardening nerd I appreciate the landscaping and flower gardens on a whole other level each time I visit. My favorite part is how beautifully they transition through the seasons, they are truly unmatched! So when my clients Jaine and Ken wanted to do their engagement session somewhere with amazing fall foliage, I knew the exact place to go; Smith Farm Gardens in East Haddam CT!
Not only are the gardens at Smith Farm Gardens out of this world pretty, the white farmhouse is pure magic on its own. I am a big fan of old homes and this is one of my favorites.
The white farmhouse at Smith Farm Gardens is the most idyllic backdrop, with the sun setting gently in the back and just wrapping the property in its golden light.
I have seen wedding ceremonies set up here on the back side of the home, it’s such a beautiful spot.
It’s as if every nook and cranny is perfect here, even their crushed gravel driveway was gorgeous for photos!
Jaine and Ken were beyond fun to photograph. I can’t even tell you! They went from legit Blue Steel to total goof balls within seconds and I had to be on high alert the entire session lest I missed anything!
Then they just collapsed into laughter afterwards, which HELLO I was not going to miss either! I adored them!!!!
Not only that! They were down to clown with me in the fields, NBD with giant heels (Jaine) and the best attitudes!
Even on its way out the foliage at Smith Farm Gardens is magic. I can’t wait to come back next fall for more!
This fall day was so beautiful, I feel like I can still feel the warm sun on my face from that day.
When Jaine swapped into this little get up I just about DIED. I mean, HELLO could it fit her any more perfectly? Could she have coordinated with the foliage any better? GIRL WHAT.
At this point I am a super spaz. Even now, just looking at these I am YELLING inside my heart!!!
And then I turned around and just about LOST MY EVER LOVING MIND!! This LIGHT!
And them BAM! Out of nowhere it’s freaking Dancing with the Stars over here!
Cue the laughter:
Cue the cuddles:
Cue the wood pile:
I was like, Wow, ok this looks like you just bought this house! SURPRISE!
Here they are!
And them BAM! HELLO.
Kenny’s turn!! boop!
This whole series just sums these two right up! Silly. Serious. In love. Silly! Serious. Content. SO FREAKING IN LOVE!!! Back to silly.
Jaine and Kenny, I freaking love you two. I am so happy to know you both and even happier that I have a whole other session to edit of you both (stay tuned yous guys just WAIT till you see this shoot from The Mayflower Inn and Spa!)
