I just knew this colorful crew would wear their emotions on their sleeves. They were so expressive and fun and emotional from the second I walked in to the Spa at the Manor. Doing a first look with your wedding party can be such a fun way to kick off the morning and set the tone for the rest of your wedding day. This gregarious crew did not disappoint and helped set the tone for this colorful wedding at Lord Thompson Manor.
After some portraits with her wedding party, Shanice and crew headed over for their colorful wedding at Lord Thompson Manor.
Once back at Lord Thompson Manor, Shanice and Hoi did their first look and then we segued right into some portraits around the property. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, especially for the very beginning of April so we took full advantage of being outside as much as we could be for their portraits, with a ix of some of my favorite spots inside of the Manor.
Since it had been raining before Shanice and Hoi had their ceremony inside the atrium of Lord Thompson Manor. I love the sheer curtains with the colorful flowers that Shanice made herself! It added such a colorful detail and helped pepper in their love of color to the ceremony.
One of my favorite part of working with Lord Thompson Manor is how they do toasts immediately after the ceremony! We all gathered in the fireplace room and laughed and cried as Shanice and Hoi’s family and friends shared some touching words about them.
We snuck out for some post toast portraits and the light was glorious. It’s always a good idea to pop out and take a moment to yourselves to just take it all in, together. Not to mention Shanice’s veil paired with her crown made for some STUNNING portraits!!
Once the ceremony and toasts were done, it was time to GET DOWN!! Shanice and Hoi’s family and friends did not disappoint- all led by the charismatic couple themselves!
New Haven based DJ Christie. If you want to dance nonstop with the most amazing DJ- hire DJ Christie she is AMAZING!!
