Diana and Phil’s autumn wedding day at Cold Spring Farm in Colchester CT was blustery, blue-skied and crisp! Since I knew that wind was a factor I showed up a bit earlier than expected to get the lay of the land and scope some potential portrait spots out to help the day run as smooth as possible. Diana and Phil have two children under 3 and a brand spanking new puppy named Draco, so, any little bit of time saving I could manage I knew would be super helpful! I poked around the farm and found some really cool spots where the light was really beautiful and soft, and offered a bit of a reprieve from the blustery wind! I am sure that Diana and Phil were super appreciative, even thought they seemed to cuddle the chill away pretty easily.

We got to bop around the farm making some magic together in the brisk weather just in time for their family and friends to show up for the party! In January Phil and Diana had eloped at Devil’s Hopyard State Park by a big waterfall and I was honored to be their photographer for their official wedding and then again for the party to celebrate with family and friends. Jess Stone at Cold Spring Farm was so easy to work with, and took care of every little detail for Diana and Phil’s party. She kept the barn warm and the party hopping! Big props to Jess!
