My most important job as your photographer is to tell the story of your wedding day while making you and your family and friends comfortable.
I believe the more comfortable you are, the better your pictures will be.
My typical client loves their family + friends over anything. Always, always. They value time spent together, and are able to appreciate the quieter moments in their relationships, that strung together, share a story of deep love.
They appreciate beautiful photography, art and design. Someone who lets me do what I do best, and trusts my many years of experience in the industry. Whether you are the most camera-shy person or the biggest ham, there is no cookie-cutter approach to every client.
I will get you comfortable in a way that is best for you.
As a Queer Mexican-American woman, I pride myself on being a welcoming + inclusive photographer + human being and embrace everyone. I am so happy you are here to view my work, stay as long as you’d like and please feel free to leave a comment or share any posts!
XO Carla Ten Eyck
A winter wedding at The Branford House at Avery Point UCONN in Groton CT where the Winters get married? Yes PLEASE! Alex and Liane had a brisk winter day as the setting for their long awaited wedding. I met Liane years ago way back in 2012 for a photoshoot for Bliss Celebrations Magazine. She was […]

Frozen Two, the movie, just blew my mind. I was so not prepared. What started out as a snow day for the kids morphed into a photoshoot in our favorite spot, Elizabeth Park. After I joyfully processed the images, my daughter and I headed to the movies to see Frozen Two. On the way I […]
A fall Vyne Restaurant wedding in Middlebury CT with Kristina and Joe closed out my fall season in the best way. Kristina is the last sister in the Ford family who’s wedding I was honored to have photographed. Even typing that is making me feel so nostalgic and just ramble on down memory lane. In […]

Valley View Farms was host to an engagement session for Rayne and Colin and is one of the most beautiful properties I have been on in a long time. My friend Michelle works at Valley View Farms in Haydenville MA and reached out to me about coming up for a site tour and visit and […]
The Eustis Estate wedding of Brandon and Michael in Milton MA could not have been more perfect. It was a quintessential autumn day in New England in October with crisp air and vibrant color. I arrived early and scouted the grounds and was immediately taken with the wispy fields, and colorful trees. There were sculptures […]

The Spa at Norwich Inn, Norwich CT was one of the most perfect of spots to host Courtney and Bernard’s wedding on the most perfect of September days. The temperature was just right, there was just the right amount of sun and cloud cover and warmth and I couldn’t have picked a better day if […]
Mackenzie and Steve’s Indian summer Aria wedding in Prospect CT was filled with love and dancing and more dancing! That would be Steve dancing the night away from the very moment we arrived to the very moment we left! when I walked into the bridal suite where Mackenzie and her ladies were getting all […]

Danielle and Victor’s engagements session at the UCONN Law School in Hartford’s historic West End neighborhood was beyond perfect! I mean, maybe I am biased because we started off in my wee little creek known as the Hog River (or Park River as it is currently known) that literally bubbles happily in my back yard. […]
Ellen and Ken’s CT engagement session in Elizabeth Park in Hartford CT was filled with Benny the Vizsla and so much laughter! We met up at The Pond House and meandered our way around the park, guided by where the light was calling me. That’s just how I work when I do engagement sessions […]

Yesterday’s afternoon family session in Old Lyme with Tosh and Keith was a salve for my chapped soul, at a time right when I needed it. I remember a few years back when I was working a wedding at one of my favorite little Inns, The Bee and Thistle Inn with Tosh at the […]
