On the morning of Anna and Eddie’s southwest inspired tented wedding at Anna’s parents home in Norwalk CT, Anna took a moment to reflect before getting into her dress. She looked out the window at the bustling tent in the yard of her childhood home below explode with color and texture and beauty beyond what one would ever expect to see. She said “This all came from me saying we like triangles and air plants!” and she laughed. Amy Jones, of Amy Champagne Events designed this wedding so beautifully, I was squealing and in awe from the very second I stepped on the property. The florals from Carrie Wilcox Floral Design in Fairfield CT was beyond crazy beautiful, there was so much color and texture and cactus nestled with dahlias that looked like they were on fire! The bar wall was amazing and I kept wandering back to it and staring at all of the amazing air plants and little thoughtful details.
I probably took way more photos than I normally do because I was so attracted to all of the fun color and texture and I won’t apologize for it! Not to mention how sweet Anna and Eddie were with one another, there was so much love and care and kindness around us all the entire day, it made my job of showing all of the love so easy! They are both pediatric ER Doctor’s in Philly, and had many colleagues come for the wedding, and of course there were children! I loved watching Anna and Eddie connect with each child at their wedding, I could see why they chose to be advocates for kids in how kind and present they are with kids.

This is an image of Anna with her Dad.
They were mostly checking out how much alcohol there was being unloaded into the tent! It was a sight!
Anna did a first look with her Dad, it was really sweet to see his face light up when he saw his daughter ready to get married!
And then there was THE first look, with her heart, her Eddie. Not sure they figured this into their predictions for the day, but I teared up at their reactions to one another! Weepy photographer, check!
Her parents property was filled with so many great nooks and crannies!
Can you even with this bouquet??? PERSIMMON AND AIR PLANTS AND OMG. It was a stunner! Way to go Carrie Wilcox!
Anna gave her bridesmaids freedom to choose their own gowns, just gently guiding them into the teal palette… I would say they pulled it off beautifully!
Anna used to snuggle up under this Japanese Maple tree as a child and play, and really wanted to have some photos here. I could just see her here, curled up playing with her toys or reading a book. It’s the kind of thing I would dream of doing as a kid, and to see the very tree that she did this in, was so special. I was beyond excited to create some meaningful portraits with Ann and Eddie here.
Vegas the dog!
I wouldn’t advise this, but I wanted to stick my entire head into this arrangement. But I did not. Because: CACTUS. Also, manners.
The linens, the furniture, it all harmonized so well together!
The LEGEND: Amy Jones, hard at work, but always with a smile on her face!
Because Anna is gluten free, the majority of the menu was as well. I was SO HAPPY since I am gluten free as well, and the food was AMAZING. Can you say fried avocado?
The escort cards were bags of pretzels from Philly, with gorgeous hand calligraphy on each bag!
The dance floor was packed the entire night and the only way I could grab any photos was to get out there and shake my money maker with everyone…! And so… I did! #perkofthejob
Anna and Eddie, thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer. It is an honor that I take very seriously, and I loved getting to know you both this past year. I had so much fun at your wedding, watching all of your friends, family and colleagues come together to celebrate the two of you and how happy you make one another. The whole day was pure magic. Here’s to happiness and health, lots of laughing, and taking care of all of the children of the world together!
