When London based Luxury Wedding and Event Producer Sarah Haywood contacts you for an event, it’s a thing. When it’s a multi day affair in Scotland at a historic castle, peppered with custom tartans, fireworks, Scottish drummers, Highland Games on the lawn, and a staff ratio of 250 for 65 guests…? It’s an epic event! Epic events are Sarah Haywood’s specialty. I have had the honor of working with her on a few events and let me tell you this: WOW. I love being a part of the buzzing beehive of production that surrounds each event at the highest levels. We are surrounded by experts performing at the highest levels for each event, and the result is out of this world. Things go wrong, there are bumps along the way but the way they are resolved and handled is the what happens when you work with event producers at this level! Everything comes off flawless and stunning and all of the guests have the most amazing time.
C + C’s wedding was filled with bespoke details at every turn! It took me hours to photograph each well curated detail and had to do this event in two posts- this one is just the pre-wedding party / Highlands Game day with a stunning elevated rustic tented pork roast. The florals were lush and amazing and the cocktails were an event in themselves! Come see for yourself..!

“Art Direction, Interior Styling, Flowers, Stationary & Bespoke Items
The dream commission, from Sarah Haywood Wedding Design, we were asked to take a holistic approach to creating a bespoke, locally sourced, handmade wedding for an American couple with a love for Scotland. Transforming the blank canvas of Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute into a boutique hotel for 4 days, we brought in all furniture, dressing, plants and flowers for the occasion to make every space and bedroom feel warm and inviting. The design of two evening dinners involved making vegetable dyed linens and embroidered napkins, illustrated menus, and specially commissioned ceramic plates by Astier de Villatte in Paris. Guests were given gifts each day of thanks from the bride and groom, including a screen printed keepsake book of poems and history of the house to take notes and collect memorabilia of the weekend, designed by The Isle of You and Wyvern Bindery, with screen printing and illustrations by Alice Gabb.”
All the ladies received a pair of Hunter boots, which was perfect since it rained on the wedding day a bit!
Kitten Grayson is a genius. She transformed the greenhouse solarium space in the master bedroom to a tropical oasis! I could have spent the entire time in there just soaking it up. Oooh la la.
Gorgeous little terrariums with geodes and succulents and magic, tucked into nooks that maybe no one would even see… but I did!
Bespoke perfumes for each of them! Charming beyond. Like. Spritz me, please.
Mount Stuart is located on the beautiful island of Bute. Bute is only 33 miles from Glasgow and is one of the most accessible of the westerly isles from the Scottish Central Belt. It’s a peaceful island haven, just a stone’s throw away from the mainland of Scotland. Also makes for quite a landing pad for your helicopter!! Hello grand entrance!
Can we even with these super charming beer steins! Each one is different! Such a special thing to see, I loved it!
A little risky cup over here! I love it!
Don’t even get me started on the individual flasks here! There were whisky stations for guests to top off their flasks as needed! COME ON!
Soft flannel throws were flung casually around, should one catch a chill and need to cozy up! Brrr!
This little area had my heart in a twirl… it was the stuff of my dreams! On the wedding day there were plans to host the cocktail hour here but it rained, so the gorgeous tent hosted the festivities.
Do I even need to say anything? Except, pass the butter.
These lads were so sweet and humored my many requests for photos…I couldn’t help it, their music was overwhelmingly beautiful and really had me in the spirit of being in Scotland. My heart aches to remember how wonderful it all was.
The bar’s garnish game was out of this world amazing! It was like a salad bar!
I was coveting the MESS out of these things. Literally. KITTEN!!! You are the best.
No bigs. Just tossing a log.
More to come. This was just a little teaser of the first part of the day!!!!
