My most important job as your photographer is to tell the story of your wedding day while making you and your family and friends comfortable.
I believe the more comfortable you are, the better your pictures will be.
My typical client loves their family + friends over anything. Always, always. They value time spent together, and are able to appreciate the quieter moments in their relationships, that strung together, share a story of deep love.
They appreciate beautiful photography, art and design. Someone who lets me do what I do best, and trusts my many years of experience in the industry. Whether you are the most camera-shy person or the biggest ham, there is no cookie-cutter approach to every client.
I will get you comfortable in a way that is best for you.
As a Queer Mexican-American woman, I pride myself on being a welcoming + inclusive photographer + human being and embrace everyone. I am so happy you are here to view my work, stay as long as you’d like and please feel free to leave a comment or share any posts!
XO Carla Ten Eyck
The Chatfield Hollow Inn is FABULOUS! It is one of the dreamiest venues that I have ever seen: Yes folks it’s The Chatfield Hollow Inn, located in the windy roads of Killingworth CT. Not to be confused with Chatfield Hollow State Park, which is about 10 minutes away, this little gem of a spot is […]

Katie and Jake’s wedding at Tyrone Farm in Pomfret CT was a stormy, rainy amazing day for the books! I can tell you honestly that I am not afraid of the rain, in fact, I embrace it and allow myself to be open to the beauty of it all, and I am often pleasantly […]
Lynn and Dan’s joyful, rustic Wright’s Mill Farm wedding in Canterbury CT was everything I had hoped it would be! I love that dance we all do as small business owners in the wedding and event industry; we field a call or email from a prospective client, we reach out, we meet. And then we […]

I photographed a whimsical garden wedding in the amphitheater at Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford CT with Chris and Beth and my heart could not be more full if it tried! When I first spoke to Beth over the phone about her wedding, we connected instantly over our shared love of gardening and all things […]
Every once in a while (not often enough, I say!) there are people that enter your life who are just wonderful, caring and special humans. They smile easy, are quick with a hug, radiate positive energy and leave you feeling better than you were before. Hope is one of those people for me, and I […]

Finding Myself. Last night my 13 year old daughter Georgie and I went to see the newest Melissa McCarthy movie that’s out, Life of the Party. Jackson was at a party with friends and it was just us and we wanted to just snuggle and laugh. Plus we are both really big fans of Melissa […]
Lynn and Dan had their engagement session at Northwest Park in Windsor CT this past fall. Now one thing you should know about me is that autumn in New England is my absolute favorite time of year. No question! Pair that preference with the ability to cram as many photo sessions in the fall as […]

Just as the weather started acting as it should be- and thank heavens it did- I met up with Eddie + Anna for their engagement session at Harkness Park in Waterford CT. It’s also known as Eloia Mansion, or Harkness Memorial Park, or also one of my very favorite places to photograph, if I am […]
Katya and Neal’s epic wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington CT yesterday was heaven-sent. There were cherubic adorable little flower girls and ring bearers floating around angelically all day, and an abundance of romantic and ethereal details that set the tone for their wedding day! I have known Katya forever- since she was in […]

Christina and Ryan’s Greek meets Irish wedding at the InterContinental Boston (in, you guessed it, Boston) was filled with color and family and THAT GOWN! and just all of the things that make doing what I do as a photographer soul-fulfilling. Christina and Ryan’s obvious love for their families and the hustle and bustle of […]
