One of my favorite things that happened this fall was my Chatfield Hollow Wedding with my sweet couple in Killingworth CT. 2020 has been… a challenge, specially for the wedding and events industry! We have not been able to host parties or events – understandably of course- since March in the way that we used to. Sizing has changed, mandates have changed and we have all just been trying to do the best we can with the information we have. I know I sure have been. When Alex and Alexa reached out asking if I was available for their wedding at literally one of the absolute BEST venues in Connecticut, I was beyond thrilled. To be able to work, even using social distancing, wearing a mask, getting my temperature taken, and having everything outside it still felt like an absolute dream. The Chatfield Hollow Inn does weddings so well. So so well!! The space just lends itself to all of the things that I love; the outdoors with a woodsy feel, rustic luxury, intimate yet also expansive spaces, attention to detail, interesting and gorgeous wildlife (they have peacocks and all kinds of cool birds!) ferns and woods and a lily pond and paths in the woods and sun soaked fields filled with wildflowers…! The Chatfield Hollow Inn is just completely RICH in the things I value the most and any chance I can get to return there and be welcomed the way that I am, I will gratefully accept it.
Maybe that’s the best part of 2020 so far, for me. Realizing what is at the very heart of all that is important to me; my clients, who they are and what they value and where I am going to be spending their day with them, outside in nature surrounded by those you love the most. Congratulations Alex and Alexa, I wish you many years of happiness!
