Kristen and Tim were married this past week at the First Congregational church of Danbury and then partied the night away at Le Chateau in South Salem Ny. It was one of the very first gorgeous Spring days we have had, and it was glorious! Kristen got ready at her parents home with her sweet dog Charlie, surrounded by her very fun bridesmaids and her parents. Once she slipped that wedding gown on designed by Antonio Gaul it was like it was made for her and her alone! Simple, classic and so elegant, Kristen pretty much floated around all day in her gorgeous wedding gown, with a smile on her face the entire time. When we arrived at the First Congregational Church in Danbury, I was in awe with how beautiful it is. So filled with light and warmth. Kristen told me that 7 generations of her family have attended the church and it is very near and dear to her entire family. I love when the spaces and places on a wedding day are mired in emotion and history for my clients, and Kristen and Tim’s wedding day was no exception! When I saw Tim and Kristen for the first time I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect couple- they just… FIT! They are both tall and elegant and so in love with each other, it made my entire day so easy to capture these gorgeous images for them! Their florals were so elegant as well, thanks to Rita’s Floral Touch! Classic and beautiful.
When Kristen got dressed her bridesmaids hovered in the doorway, watching. I actually stopped and commented on how lovely it was – and quite refreshing honestly- to not see ONE PHONE out! The entire day everyone was present for what was happening, and it was such a breath of fresh air!
Sweet Charlie! He spent the morning sunning himself on the back deck and just living the life!
Kristen had this stole that was in her family in case it was chilly. I insisted we get some portraits in it, because it is so beautiful and a special family heirloom.
Since they will be moving soon, getting family pictures with the house was really important!
Here Kristen’s sister was sharing how special the church was to their family and got all choked up…
Her sweet grandfather looking at Tim before Kristen walked down the aisle to him.
One of my very favorite photos from my wedding ages ago was one of the crowd during the ceremony. I loved seeing where everyone chose to sit or stand (since it was on a beach) since I was busy and didn’t really notice (obviously!) Whenever I can I make sure to get some of these images for my clients as well.
This balcony was stunning and gave us a nice spot to hide away into while the church cleared out.
I had worked at Le Chateau years ago, and loved it. It was recently renovated and is even more gorgeous, if that was even possible! The light was making my heart ache it was so beautiful!
The most classic, elegant and timeless of brides!
Kristen loves champagne and really wanted to have a picture of them popping a bottle… so….
When it just ‘popped’ and there was no spray…. Kristen encouraged Tim to spray it! Boy did he!!
Congratulations Kristen and Tim- I had the best time with you both. Thank you for opening your day to me! Congratulations! XOXOXO
