Trica and Bill’s magical Lord Thompson Manor wedding in Thompson Connecticut was so much fun to photograph I could barely contain myself! There are so many reasons why I was beyond thrilled to work with such a lovely couple at one of the absolute BEST wedding venues in the New England area for weddings. Lord Thompson Manor in Thompson CT is a weekend destination wedding space. When you have your wedding or event at Lord Thompson Manor, you have it for the entire weekend from your rehearsal dinner, to your ceremony (if you choose to have it there) to the wedding reception, late night and your brunch that will inevitably follow.
The space is rich and luxurious and run by absolute pros lead by Jackie and Andrew and their loyal and amazing staff, Ted, Janice and everyone else! Every time I work with them I am guaranteed a wonderful time where the timeline always runs smoothly and literally no detail is overlooked. Add to the location this absolutely lovely couple Tricia and Bill and their wonderful family and friends and it was just an absolute pleasure to work and create some magical, beautiful images of it all!

We started the getting ready at the Spa at Lord Thompson Manor. An all white, crisp and beautiful space just perfect for a getting ready space for your wedding party! The cottages feature rooms for your wedding party to stay in as well! Super convenient and absolutely beautiful to photograph in.
While I was with Tricia and her ladies at the Cottages, my second photographer Melissa was at Lord Thompson Manor with Bill and his fellas, getting ready for the big day.
The outside of Lord Thompson Manor is incredibly photogenic and makes for a really gorgeous backdrop for photographs on your wedding day!
There is a great billiards room in the lower level of the manor that makes for a great space for the other half of your wedding to chill, have some cocktails and play some pool before the wedding.
Tricia’s wedding gown was so beautiful! I loved the back detailing so much, as you will see by the many many photographs I took of it all day!
I love when my couples make time to write one another a special letter or card on their wedding day.
Tricia rode over to the manor in a vintage Jag!
Tricia wanted to change up how she did her first look with Bill, and opted for a back to back version. The manor is the perfect backdrop for this!
We had some crazy rain the night before and were thrilled to be able to do everything outside, our photos, the ceremony and cocktail hour. It all worked out wonderfully!
This mossy area was a dream to shoot in. I had to take off my shoes so I could navigate the more…squishy areas for photos but I think it was well worth it!
The manor provides so many nooks and crannies for us to tuck and roll into for photos I could have done this for HOURS!!!
I don’t normally add in family photos to my posts but I just adored this sweet moment with Tricia and her Mom!
Right as she arrived at the top of the aisle, her veil popped out! Never fear, my second Melissa sprung into action and fixed it!
Right after you walk down the aisle, the toasts happen. I used to think this was strange but the more I see this done here the more it makes sense! When I was a maid of honor at a wedding I was SO stressed about having to give my toast. Having it happen quick alleviated that stress for me, the toaster, but also it gives me the photographer now an amazing spot for photographs of literally everyone! Well done, Lord Thompson Manor!
Many of my couples want sunset photos, but not every space lends itself for that. The golden hour at Lord Thompson Manor is amazing! It was right during cocktail hour, so plan accordingly! Trica and Bill truly value photography so they were ok stealing away with me for some amazing shots with the golden sun and the smoke form the fire pit! I was freaking out and having so much fun creating these with them!
They may or may not be laughing at how excited I was getting over these! I couldn’t contain myself!
I MEAN SERIOUSLY???!!!
Back from my adrenaline high … we re entered the cocktail hour like civilized people…
Before I went we popped out to this dear, sweet set up of candlelight and candelabras in the trees. Bill and Tricia had some champagne and a quiet moment together. It was pure magic!
Tricia and Bill, thank you so much for trusting me with your wedding. I had so much fun with you both, congratulations!!!! XOXOXOXOX
