Lauren and Brian’s intimate wedding in Brian’s parent’s back yard, was the perfect way to spend a gorgeous Saturday! Like many of my couples this year, Lauren and Brian have had many ups and downs with postponing their bigger celebration until 2021. Also like many of my clients, they have decided to get married this year, and move their bigger wedding celebrations to the following year, when things will, hopefully- fingers crossed! be much safer for us all.
Long before Covid-19 struck I have been wanting more intimate weddings on my calendar. They are so… for lack of a better word… INTIMATE! and really give me a chance to get to know my couple in a way that is a little harder with a bigger celebration. Everyone present at the ceremony and dinner is hand picked, family or very close friend, and it’s like a super special peek into their lives. I am also really looking forward to seeing everyone again next year at the bigger wedding and party to celebrate even more!

I started off the afternoon at Lauren and Brian’s home in Forest Hills, NY, a quaint and idyllic area I had not been to before. I LOVED IT!
Lauren ordered custom masks for their guests and vendors for the day. I loved mine, it was so much easier to breathe in than most masks. It was also a nice touch, having everyone have the same mask and none of those ugly paper masks- no offense!
Her bouquet was perfection. Dahlia season is my favorite season!
When Lauren put on her perfume and made this cute face I just about lost it!
We had a few minutes to poke around their neighborhood for photos before the ceremony, and I was in heaven. I loved the area so much! Intimate weddings typically mean no huge wedding parties, which can be easier if time isa factor for photos.
Lauren is an avid tennis player so this mural with Billie Jean King and Arthur Ashe was special for her.
The sweet ceremony spot in Brian’s parent’s back yard. Perfect for their intimate wedding!
Sign of the times…Zooming in family to see the ceremony.
This whole series makes me laugh so HARD. They were pelted with rice as they walked down the aisle and it made for some pretty amazing photos! I have a ton in their final gallery for them to enjoy!
There was this gorgeous tree in the front yard and the light was PERFECTION!! So naturally… we had to go there for some photos.
Then we scooted right on back to the back yard for some more quick portraits, then did the family photos.
Their dinner and desserts were both from places that were special to their grandparents. Who doesn’t love a cannoli??
Lauren and Brian, thank you for having me come for your official wedding. I loved meeting you both face to face in this online world, and being present for you wedding ceremony. Your family is the sweetest and I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again next year! Stay safe and healthy everyone! XOXOX
