Michaela and Artur’s windy November wedding at Aria in Prospect CT was filled with so many gregarious, tall and well dressed frail and friends, it felt like I was at a fashion show instead of a wedding! Even Michaela played the part by having a dress change midway through her reception. Her bridesmaids gowns were some of my favorite this year, they were long, fitted navy dresses with long lace sleeves and a cool back, and each lady looked so elegant and willowy in the dress, even my sweet little shorty bridesmaid! The crazy wind didn’t seem to impact much for us, since I got to snag a few quick photos before we headed to the church for the ceremony, and then thank you Aria, there were so many well lit nooks to create some magic in. The entire wedding party was super thankful, especially since all of the ladies had their hair down! After we finished with the wedding party, Michaela and Artur and I popped outside to the back of the Aria and grabbed some photos in between wind gusts and the spotty light. I was really excited we got to feature some of the really beautiful fall foliage as well so we could really showcase how beautiful autumn in Connecticut really is! Well done, Aria and autumn in CT, I applaud you, seriously!

The amount of screaming and tension from this champagne pop was super extra, and I am just talking about ME. I was such a spaz, yelling and hooting and scaring everyone! It was tense, guys come on!
Maybe the only time I love a TV in my bridal prep.
My camera loves Michaela. Like, LOVES. She just sings on my screen, every feature pops, and she just looks like a movie star from the olden days. Tell me I’m wrong!
It was SO WINDY, her heels were sinking in the wet grass, and it was chilly. But my girl was a trooper deluxe and just was like ‘I’m good, let’s do this!’ Exactly what I like to hear. Let’s just make some magic, excuse me, wind. We busy.
I love this shot that Nikki snagged of the ladies making their way up the church steps.
No offense Artur but I was PUMPED when you started to cry the moment you saw Michaela at the end of the aisle, making he way to you! I love when my clients can just let their emotions fly fast and free and just be in the moment, and feel every. little. thing.!
This church was truly stunning. The art in it was breathtaking, and I spent a good amount of time just taking it all in, it was gorgeous!
The bridal suite at the Aria was simple and easy, and while I was going over our photo plan while everyone got fed and watered, I just saw the way the light snuck into this corner and I just started moving couches and make this little nook happen! It was so pretty, I was pumped and Michaela was laughing as the couch started to slide when she leaned on it and it was truly chaotic in the suite with everyone yelling and eating and bopping around but honestly, this image looks pretty peaceful! TRICKERY!
This was pretty much what was happening in the suite when we were making those portraits above, ha ha ha ha! But shhhh. Hi.
The groomsmen were like a pack of wild puppies. But not here! They look regal and suave.
Like. Be REAL. OMG. I think they were laughing at me, and my lack of proper words because I was just really happy with what we were all creating together and maybe especially because Artur was so smily and happy. It was magical. And so: I yelled a bit!
About 45 seconds before this image was made, I was legit ON TOP of these very fireworks. I didn’t know they were being fired off, and was like whaaat when they went off. Luckily I did not lose my hair, and just shimmied my smooth dance moves over to the other side and snagged this. Hiiii.
There was so much dancing. SO. MUCH. DANCING! This little guy has the right idea, I can’t believe I forgot my ear plugs, it was the wildest dance party, I was super impressed a how much stamina everyone had!
Michael and Artur, you two are so much fun, so in love and have the wildest bunch of friends. I am so happy for you both, and wish you the best as you start your new life as a married couple together. Congrats! XOXOXO
