When I got the request to photograph Allie + Chris’ wedding this spring I was ecstatic! Just last summer I had the absolute pleasure to photograph Allie’s sister Kristen’s wedding at the Castle Hill Inn in Newport (you can see their full gorgeous wedding post HERE) and got to know their family really well over both of their wedding planning periods! Allie and Chris’s wedding at the Harold Pratt House in New York City was the definition of pure city elegance! They got ready at the downright gorgeous Loews Hotel in Manhattan, what a stunning place for a bride to get all slammed up for the big day! Allie was the absolute epitome of timeless beauty and grace, she was glowing all day, full of quiet confidence and excitement for her wedding to Christian. We teamed up with Susan Caruso of Susan Caissy Caruso Events in New York City, and she and her team we the definition of professionalism and fun all at the same time! We absolutely loved working with them all, what a killer team!
Christian and Allie had their first look on the candle-lit grand staircase at the Harold Pratt House, while their family peeked from a corner..! We segued to portraits in the library and Joel and I were just overwhelmed with how gorgeous the light was there.. what an amazing space for photographs! Allie and Chris have such a gentle and loving way with one another and it was really beautiful to watch as they each had a moment with one another before the wedding ceremony took place. For as long as everyone plans for their wedding, the day can go by so fast, and taking some time out to have a moment alone with one another is something I can’t suggest enough! Take a moment. See one another. It honestly may be the only moment you have alone all day!
Allie + Chris, thank you for trusting me with your wedding! We had the best time with you all! XO
