Vanessa and Lauren's destination wedding weekend in Portland, Maine,  started with a whale watch for their guests and their families. It ended at a Brewery in Portland, with tiki torches, delicious BBQ food and a DJ spinning vinyl. The tone for fun was officially set for the wedding at The Barn on Walnut Hill. A beautiful picnic and cocktails welcomed guests to the ceremony in the woods. An elegant band played for the extended cocktail hour outside, complete with a kids-only Airstream trailer! Vanessa, founder of the talented TPD Design House in PA, designed the wedding and did all of the paper + signage. No detail was overlooked, as loving and funny quotes, a candy bar for the kids, and gorgeous touches like the succulent escort card display decorated the wedding. 
Vanessa and Lauren's wedding was also featured in Martha Stewart Weddings as the first lesbian wedding to appear in the magazine's history!
