I met Christina + Nick during their engagement session at Yale a while back, knowing that they would be marrying in Colorado the next June, but they were all set for a photographer. They wanted to poke around Yale and give it a last go-round, as they would be moving to Colorado after graduating, and I was more than happy to be a part of their farewell tour to a place they called home. After our session, they loved their images so much, and had so much fun laughing and popping all over New Haven together that they flew me out to Colorado Springs to be their photographer at the gorgeous Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. I was beyond excited because they are such an easy going couple who had a good time in front of the camera! How could I ask for anything more than that? That I also got to sneak in some QT with my good friend + second shooter Eileen Broderick who moved there from CT was the cherry on top! We had such a great time covering the rehearsal and wedding together and listening to Christina’s family’s killer British accents (come on, who doesn’t love an accent!!) and getting to know everyone over barbecue and great music? Their wedding was such a feast for the senses, I laughed I cried, I was overwhelmed by her dress (OMG!!) and her bouquet?? Seriously, Southern Charm you are masters of your craft!! WOW! The venue had so many nooks and crannies to pop into and we took full advantage of the grand scale of the place and got some amazing portraits!
Christina and Nick wore their hearts on their sleeves, and their smiles could be seen from outer space they were so big and full of light. I can’t thank you both enough for opening your hearts to me and extending such a warm welcome to Eileen and I during your welcome. I left feeling like a part of your family, chuckling about the jokes your Dad was telling and just feeling so cared for. Thank you for bringing me along on your journey out west!! I adore you both so much!! Congratulations!! XOXOXO
