This year has been the year of just, soul-mate clients! And I am not talking about for each other, because, like, DUH if you’re not..! Then we have bigger issues, am I right? I am talking about my clients being my soul-clients. And not all of them are, which is, (in the real world anyway) the norm, am I right? But there is something magical about this year’s lineup… something really deep and real, and I am so happy about it!
Enter Laura and Rob. My first clue that they were something special should have been the fact that Laura met my Dad at a function in Hartford! (pause for the a-hah moment for those of you that know my Dad) Homeboy is a character! Apparently he sang my praises so forcefully to Miss Laura that she looked me up, liked what she saw and the rest, as they say, is history! It was mutual, and we fell in client-photographer love! Then! You add Rob to the mix and it was like, seriously? Can this day get any better? They were both so quick with smiles and laughter, so relaxed and easy going, it was a recipe for a great day!
Then! Add into the mix that their wedding was in my hometown of Hartford, at one of the coolest spaces, The Bushnell Memorial… and stick a fork in me, I am DONE! Nothing is more appreciated than a short commute to work! Besides maybe a back rub for 90 minutes on a beach with a nice breeze!
Some of my favorite highlights from the day…Laura’s bow. That DRESS!! Danggit it was so elegant and beautiful, just like her! Watching Rob get his drum on during the reception (he is a professional drummer) while his new wife gazed adoringly at him! Doing an impromptu band photo in the theatre seats lit only by smart phones!
Biggest and warmest of congrats to you both Laura and Rob! I had the best time with you both and wish you many happy years ahead together! XOXOXO
