When a photographer asks you to be their photographer for their wedding… well. It’s a huge honor. But when it’s also someone who you have known for years, someone who you have grown with as a person and as a photographer with, that’s got even more of a heart achy-GAH-I am so flattered and excited and shit I hope you like what I do vibe to it! Like, I just want you to love how I see your day, how I see your closest friends and family and the love of your life. I hope you like how I mirror you back to yourself… how I see that sparkle and light and flutter in your belly when you both look at each other. How I interpret the way you tenderly hold one another as if there is no one else there but you both. But there I am, standing so close, so near all of this love. This love just about bowled me over with its force, and still holds me with the tenderness and care you both had for each other on that day. Michelle and Orian, I just about can’t even formulate the words to properly write about your wedding. It transcended. I was there, and I was not there. I floated above it all, saw it all, remembered it all, felt every single moment. I felt the deep breaths you both took during your ceremony as you stood there with your eyes closed and hearts wide open. I felt it in my heart the way Orian gently kissed your hand as you walked down the aisle.. you lost in your blissful smile.

What a day.

I loved how every vendor was so excited to be there for one of their own industry people, it was something special to see, and Joel Callaway and I had the best time creating images that we just love for you both.
