One of the best things when photographing weddings locally, is working with an amazing team of fellow creative partners. When I get a wedding at The Bee + Thistle Inn, in Old Lyme CT, I almost squeal with delight (OK, so maybe I did actually squeal, because come on. It’s amazing there!)
Not only is the property so pretty, but the people that run the day there (Hellerrrrrr Tosh, Jack, Jake and crew!) just make me smile, laugh and have the absolute best day. They are so kind to their clients, so attentive, so knowledgeable and five steps ahead of every possible request. They make everyone feel important, wanted, helped, comfortable and just all around sparkly… I mean, why wouldn’t I want to work there? I bet you want to work there now!!
While my bride Kylie finished up her degree, her super sweet Mom called me and interviewed / hired me for her daughter’s wedding. We instantly connected and knew that we would all make a great team for the day. And how! Kylie + James were just my flavor, so relaxed but emotional and excited about all of the right things. James was a wear-your-heart-on-his-sleeve kind of guy and I absolutely loved it. To know two people who were so open and honest with their love and affection was such a beautiful thing to bear witness to. Add being able to create some magical and beautiful photographs of this all, and I am on cloud nine!
Kylie and James, congratulations on a truly real and beautiful day. What a way to start your marriage! Thank you so much for having me along, I could not have been happier with what we created together! XOXO
