The Riverview Simsbury CT Wedding with Carla Ten Eyck

Here is a quick peek from yesterday’s CRAZY FUN wedding of Mia + Brian at The Riverview in Simsbury, CT. There were tears, and so many funny antics by the kids AND the adults, I couldn’t stop laughing and saying out loud ‘is this really happening’? It was such a pleasure being welcomed back into the Siracusa Family Fold – I photographed Melissa + Mike’s wedding ages ago- but it felt like yesterday since I saw them all! Their ability to just be who they are, loud and proud just attracts me to them all, and I laugh right alongside them as I am creating some pretty magical photographs of them all just being who they are. Steve aka Mr. Siracusa, is one of the most gregarious people I have met- laughy, jovial, spirited and emotional, just the way I like a human to be. He is not ashamed to show his feelings, whether he’s calling Mike a cheap skate or tearing up seeing his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. I love this more than I can say…! This little one below (daughter to my clients Melissa + Mike)- Miss Ellie – is my newest obsession. Talk about SPIRITED! She legit thought it was her wedding day and acted accordingly. I could have an entire blog post just on her and her antics- and who knows, maybe I will! She’s amazing.

Mia is the most beautiful woman. Her confidence and care and love when she is surrounded by her family- especially the children- is unmatched. She is truly who she is in this environment and I loved seeing her interact with each of them, making each feel the most loved and most special. It was beautiful, just like her!

This Maggie Sottero gown she got at Mariella’s looked like it was made just for Mia!

Miss Ellie’s floral wand broke- and these really sweet guys fixing something at The Riverview stopped what they were doing to ‘perform surgery’ on it because it was ‘way more important!’ Come on!!

This image cracks me up! It has the element of Brian seeing Mia for the first time, and then his brother’s side shade eye in the corner! Love it!

Sorry, Steve! (not sorry!)

I caught their son Matthew sneaking a peek at his Dad’s wedding ring during the ceremony and thought it was such a sweet moment!

And they’re MARRIED!! Also: can you please just love how Matthew is craning his little neck to get a peek at what is happening?? LOVE
