Way back when I got a chance to play with some fellow creative partners for a styled shoot with a twist- we did a 50’s theme that was inspired by the absolute coolest bars I have ever seen- the Hive Events Airstream trailer! If you have not seen this beauty, I cannot insist enough how much you need to see it! It’s a top shelf bar set inside the most dope Airstream trailer- all fixed up inside like I have never seen before! What a perfect addition to a wedding, especially if there is an outside element. So we took this beauty and let it guide our shoot and style and bring back some 50’s love!
Can we just start with the brides hair? Wow! Catie Bane is a magician with hair, and I guess I should know, she is responsible for my very own coiff! Her styling with this just knocked it out of the park for me! DD’s classic and clean makeup paired perfectly with Catie’s hair styling finesse and then Beth Chapman took it from there with the outfits! The Whim Events ladies are always an absolute dream to work with, no matter if it’s a styled shoot or a real wedding! They are the most organized team to work with and I jump at any chance to be able to spend time with them! It was a team effort across the board and I had a blast working with something that was so not the norm of what we see everyday, it felt a bit like a vacation for me and I enjoyed it all the way till the end, when Jim Altieri brought out his old tyme movie projector and then we had some fun with it for the end of the shoot! What a way to end it!
