Once upon a time there was a wedding that I had the absolute joy of photographing… in the unlikeliest of places- The Cradle of Aviation Museum in Long Island. There were many other stops in between, their first look, the church and finally the museum. G was the most radiant, happy and calm bride, and her bridesmaids were equally as beautiful and awesome to work with! I started the day at G’s family home and photographed her getting ready with her ladies…

Her Vera Wang gown and Stewart Weitzman shoes were such a beautiful pairing

G and M decided to do a first look – this is where my couples opt to see each other before the ceremony and do the majority of their photos before hand. It’s a great idea if you want to be able to enjoy your cocktail hour, or are planning a receiving line.
They decided to do their first look at an opulent park called Old Westbury Gardens- it’s a beautiful place to photograph

During my workshops I feel like I am always struggling to explain what compression is….. here it is in all it’s smushy mushy glory!!!!

Their beautiful flowers were by Flower Michele

Come on! I loved these ladies!!!

This bridal party was up for anything, and I loved it! I started off pretty tame but after the ceremony we got a little crazier

Those who know me and my work know I love to have my clients snuggle!! See why?

When M bowed to G’s father I got a little choked up, it was such a precious moment and show of respect

Their ring bearer brought up his transformer to keep him company for the long walk down the aisle

Yes. The rings were dropped!! It was such an ice breaker and we all couldn’t stop laughing!!

One of my favorite parts about photographing weddings is actually listening to the sermons that are made about love and marriage… the fact that their pastor used the transformer as an example of what he was talking about won a special place in my heart! Who knew Bumblebee would make an appearance??

After walking down the aisle I love when couples take the time to just have a moment to themselves. They were behind a closed door and I only grabbed two frames of this, they had no idea I was here- but to see them praying together was such a beautiful moment, I had to preserve it

Yes, this book totally made a debut on the dance floor- it’s called ‘The Best Dance Moves in the World….EVER!’ and yes I totally need it

These two guys were two much for me!! I loved them!

Yes, I do family shots on the wedding day…! I get a lot of comments about how people aren’t sure if I do them or not! Not only do I do them, but I think they are some of the most important pictures of the day. The last photo I have of everyone in my family together before my Mom died was on my wedding day, ten years ago!!

The Cradle of Aviation was next to a children’t museum and we couldn’t help ourselves…. we had to stop there

Details abound from their heads to their toes

There was this little nook around the corner and it was so awesome!

I loved how this place had a variety of floors where I could not only get vertigo but a different perspective on the space!

Maybe my new official first dance favorite image ever! I love it X 4,946

I got lens flare to SPARE here!! All artificial light, two SB800′s shot remotely… nerdy bo BERDY!!! But I love this shot!!

Grandpa sang to them and they danced, it was very moving to listen to and watch

Gotta end with some photo booth fun!!
