This is exactly what the winter is for… catching up on long overdue blog posts of my favorite weddings! This particular summer wedding at The Webb Barn seems like ages ago… back when it was over 100 degrees in July! As I am sitting here freezing in my studio, just the thought of how hot Erik, Julie and I were warms me! Or maybe it was Gigi and Joseph and their families that really make me happy when i think back on their wedding day! Gigi and Joseph are both such crafty, artistic people. Their whole wedding was made by them, in some fashion. Every little detail was thought of, nothing was forgotten! I was amazed how this sweet couple from the midwest (and they brought pretty much everyone with them making this a true destination wedding!) took such care with everything. We were all so excited to work together, and I can honestly say this is, hands down one of my favorite weddings ever. Not because they spent a ton of money, or went over the top on things. They didn’t. They created things from the heart, and more importantly, had fun while doing it!
This was my favorite image from the day. We ducked out of the wedding for a spell to shoot some portraits around the property of the Webb Barn- one of my favorite places for weddings!

Chance, by Chanel is my jam. Thank you to my brides for showing me this!! I wear it every chance I get… pun intended!

This scrabble dabble old house is being renovated. I am so so glad it wasn’t painted yet, I just adore this texture and so did Gigi!!

As you will see in this ginormous post I became obsessed with Gigi’s flowers. Hand picked from a farm. bloooooooooop! My favorite!

These ladies were so relaxed and ready for a fun day.

We headed over to the Webb Barn before the ceremony for some portraits.

Hand made everything!!!!! And milk glass? LOVE it!

It was HOT h-o-t HAWT. See? 101!!!

I loved her place cards! Gigi is a teacher so this fit in so nicely!

Love this shot by Erik!!!

We had SUCH a good laugh here oh my god!!!! I love laughing during shoots!!

Yep. There was CORN HOLE!!!!!!!! What a fun game but it is so hard!!

Notice what these place cards have in common?

Homemade treats!!

This little cutie stole the show for a second during the first dance- I couldn’t resist!

Love this shot Julie got!!

I love the highs and lows of the toasts- there’s laughing and, inevitably, crying! What an emotional roller coaster they can be!

Yep. It was mandatory for me to get a bowl o’ ice cream to ‘get the shot’ I can’t let my clients down, right? And then I ate it!

I love love love tagging out of the reception with my couples for a little mini shoot. It gives them a nice chance to take it all in, and have a moment together- all while having pictures taken! Double bonus!

Some more faves from the day…!

Gigi and Joseph thank you thank you thank you for such a great day!! I loved looking through your pictures again and reliving it!! Hope you are both staying warm now!
Happy Holidays!
XOXO

the details of this wedding are awesome! so well thought out and beautifully cohesive. Love those creative teachers
And yes…it’s mandatory to eat the ice cream (or cake!) in order to get the photograph. That’s my motto anyway.
Wow, what a beautiful wedding and a very nice warm treat to relive those summer days!
I loved all the DIY details!
We will be hiring you again one day when Joseph sells some painting and we go to Costa Rica, where we got engaged, for our vow renewal! Let’s say 2021!
