Confession time! I don’t watch the news- and basically have no idea what is going on in the world! My head is full, what can I say? So when Dominique told me that there was a hurricane coming our way… I was more than a little surprised! Don’t judge, it was SUNNY and beautiful the few days before!!
So we turned on the radio on in the studio to get an idea of what they were predicting for us and no joke- Scott Haney- who I just love- says as he sang along to the Three’s Company theme song- (and this is almost a direct quote- I mean honestly who can directly quote anyone unless it’s taped!!) ‘ANYONE HEADING TO THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE STATE, SPECIFICALLY THE GROTON / STONINGTON AREA AROUND 2:00 PM SHOULD MAKE OTHER PLANS’ Guess what time I was going to show up at the Mystic Marriott in Groton??? Yep! Dominique and I got a good laugh out of that, for like a minute and then I turned in to Contingency Plan Momma!! I am a sucker for a Contingency Plan, hence the Capital Letters! I am also quite the sucker for a challenge as I am one competitive gal!
So, GAME ON!! I shouted to my cat Rodney!!
Hurricane, schlurricane!!! Turns out the only hurricanes I’m scared of are the ones they serve at Pat O’Brien’s in the French Quarter!! Well with all of the hype this crazy hurricane produced, luckily it fell apart by the time it hit Emily and Pat’s beautiful wedding at the amazing Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington CT.
But it sure was thrilling for a minute there!

Rebecca and I got some shots of Emily getting her makeup done at the hotel and then headed over to the vineyard where all of the ladies were going to get dressed

Their pretty flowers were courtesy of The Flower District!

Emily’s Mom looks on as Emily is just about ready…

Emily is just one of those classic beauties…!!

Welcome to my studio for the day!! Thank the good lord for this little awesome nook of goodness!

Who doesn’t know and love Doug, Pat’s best man!! Well, I don’t really but I wanted to say that. His toast was pretty hilarious!

What EVER Mike!! Love this shot and am jealous because I wish I took it

OK this one too. Go ON Big Mike!

Emily was up for a challenge as well, and I loved it!

The J Crew bridesmaids dresses were perfection!

This was a first: I have never had a brides mom really get excited about going out in the rain before the ceremony!! I loved it!!!

No, this is not out of order! They kissed right away, and then had to stop and think about it….

Wait. That was out of order!

Rainy days lend such a nice mood…

There was a secret handshake….

Yes. It’s the best man again! See what I’m sayin

Best little kid entrance ever

Isn’t this space COOL???

Emily and Pat, thanks for being so awesome to work with- and just going with it with the rain!!
Hope you had a blast on your honeymoon!
XOXO
