The third and final installment of our triple play weekend took place at the incredible Branford House in Groton. Beth and Paul had their ceremony and reception there so it was a once stop day of photographing some lovely people and details. Our first stop, however, was at a salon in Mystic where Miss Beth got her pretty on…. Here she models a fun ring that one of her close friends brought for all of the girls to wear in celebration of the wedding.
Beth and Paul’s wedding was like a Hartford celebration… just in Groton…. Here is Beth’s necklace that Paul gave her- it’s a Dennis Peabody original. Dennis is a Hartford Institution of his own- he creates some of the most beautiful pieces of art with dichroic glass.
Some of Beth’s details…. her house was just full of colorful spots and lovely little textured corners
Their front door was awesome. Her flowers were awesome (and done by a friend from flowers in their garden!! Bleeding hearts?? Yes please!) I knew I wanted to involve the door with the flowers, so I used a little side table and placed it in front of the door and voila! Purple haze city
Beth and Paul opted for a first look, so we did it at their place. I love their reactions to each other
Beth shows Paul her custom made dress…made with silver dupioni silk, it was just perfect
Beth and Paul are boaters, and one of their boating friends was flying some festive flags in their honor. Here they are looking out the window to see the boat- which ended up being moored right outside of the Branford House for them, which Katie was able to get a shot of.
Their ketubah was painted for them by Karen Rossi, a well known CT artist. Mike shot these great details.
Mike also snagged this awesome shot of the hand made chuppah, also made by the talented Karen Rossi
Here are some close ups I got of the incredible detail of the chuppa. Here’s Karen Rossi and Beth, smiling big for me! The top of chuppa was a piece of one of their old sails from their boat!
Their challah, which they shared with guests after their ceremony- was made by a friend. Isn’t it beautiful?? Katie grabbed the close up before the ceremony, I got the wide shot during
Paul walks with his Mom down the aisle. Isn’t she just the sweetest??
Paul sneaks a glance at Beth during their ceremony. Donna Berman (the director of the Charter Oak Cultural Center in Hartford ) was the officiant- GO Hartford, right?
Katie grabbed this shot with the Branford House in the back
After their ceremony we stole away for some portraits behind the Branford House
Love their colors
How happy do they look?
Their flowers were done by a friend, who is an avid gardener. They were great- and I loved that she rocked the rhodies!! (that is gardening nerd talk)
We were in the middle of some crazy weather
During their first dance they were all smiles. Doug from Power Posse Productions was awesome!!
Love the flare!
I love the Branford House and all of it’s textures and details
We stepped out for a little sunset waltz on the stone patio
A Thyme to Cook rocked the house with a risotto bar! Oh it was so yummy!!!
The crowd was full of life
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li film
My secret favorite part of the day…..Mike looks so adorable right?
Thanks Beth and Paul for inviting us there for your day, congratulations!!!

The Brandford House is so beauitful and I really love the light during those dancing shots.
Carla: I’ve been reading your blog for over a year & you have became one of the 3 photography blogs that I come back to daily. You push yourself creatively so much so that your work is fun to come back to over & over again.
