On the 6th of June, which in our studio is a Holiday (I will tell you later why) we had the pleasure of photographing the lovely Ashley and Jordan at the Saybrook Point Inn in Old Saybrook, CT. We started off at their home where the lovely ladies of Dana Bartone were there to work their early morning magic… Did I say this was a morning wedding? Oh it was. E-A-R-L-Y!!
Here the flower girl was just thrilled to be in the room with Ashley. They said ‘you can come in as long as you don’t peek!’ Sorry, sister but you are so busted! And SO CUTE!!
Ashley can rock the heels. Really and really. I love my brides that love shoes!
Ashley’s Mom gives her a zip up
She is just too much! So adorable
Mike’s wife Kim was one of Ashley’s bridesmaids, which added an entirely different and fun element to what would be our ‘normal’ day at the office! Here Kim helps touch up Ashley’s lipgloss… Mike and I were jockeying for position on the stairs like a pair of bulls. We are so delicate and light on our feet, like little ballerinas
Our super dope Principal Photographer (which literally means, “I am super dope’) Erik Maziarz was with us for the day, which was a first- Me, Mike and Erik at a wedding was just plain old craziness. I hope no one had to call 911, like all day. Cuz they were with me! On a totally friendly side note- Mike and I were secretly hoping that Ashley’s Dad would rev his engine right when Erik was shooting this, which is why I had my camera ready- to catch him just freaking out. Nice, huh.
Here she comes….
I think Ashley got a case of the giggles for a minute, I was totally smiling when I shot this, giggles are super contagious- especially in church!!
Her flowers were so pretty- I am a big fan of the green theme going on here
We had to shoot our bridal party shots at high noon- it was bright but I think we got some good stuff!
I am very aware that I suffer from Symmetry Syndrome. So does Erik.
One of my favorite vantage points during the first dance
Here Ashley dances with her Dad. She is so quick with a smile!
Their cake was from Sugarbelle in Glastonbury. Talk about heaven…!
At the Saybrook Point Inn? Well then you will have to hit the docks up
We hit up the beach in Old Lyme after her reception for some more portraits- the light was incredible….
See what I mean?
Sandy wedding feet and cool rocks were just my cup of tea
Valiant dvd Beyond Borders trailer
I can’t say I wasn’t yelling here
or here
ok or here
I think they may have been hoping I would lose my voice….! I was really happy right about now. Mike was too, but he’s just quieter about it
Kim was so cute, collecting hermit crabs or some craziness while Mike and I were shooting our hearts out. Good thing she can tune us out!
They are just so cool, and not even trying to be
Tide pools mean puddles mean reflections mean I’m doin’ it
The fun did NOT stop at the beach! Ashley brought us to her childhood carousel- her Dad even worked there growing up! It was awesome!!
Ashley and her Mom were posing for someone else, and I just totally snagged this shot
The whole bridal party went on for a ride
Not sure she could look any happier!
I had never been to an old tyme carousel with the rings… which made for quite a cool treat! Ashley was a fierce competitor!
PSYCH!
After their first ride the carousel randomly stopped where Ashley and Jordan were just hit with this awesome light… I booked around to where they were and grabbed this- my heart was a flutter like crazy I was so excited!!!
Had to put in some OG C 10IKE PHOTO BOOTH MADNESS:
We are kinda pretty! But this never lasts
OK, maybe just not for Mike.
We just love our couples!!
Remember when i said June 6 was a studio holiday? It was Mike’s 32 birthday, which was cool for a variety of reasons, let me list them: 1) he’s getting older! Despite the fact that yes, I am indeed older than him, he will not stay young either!
2) Kim was able to be with him for his birthday, even though I worked him like a donkey, and she forgot his cake! I just wanted some and was bitter because I am greedy
3) who doesn’t love birthdays? Even though it was Mike’s and he is like the Grinch and Baby New Year all rolled into one sour little pill?
4) Did I mention that he is getting older?
And so because I am cheap and lazy I decided to ‘just snap a few pitchers’ for Mr. Birthday Happy Man and his lady friend snuggling on the beach at sunset….AWWW! Check out Mike’s white feet. No they are not photoshopped, he is that white!! Join me in wishing him a happy happy birthday, even though it was last week!!
Thank you thank you thank you to Ashley and Jordan for putting your faith in us for your day, it really and truly meant a lot!!
And as always, make sure to check out MIKE’s and ERIK’s magical shots as well!

Magically recreated a dream in me, as well as a believer that perfect fairy tales still can come true. Thank You

I got my dose of entertainment for the day. You crack me up! That would of been funny if he did rev that engine, LMAO. (I can just picture it) The light on that carousel shot is awesome! The light on the beach was amazing too! Oh yeah and I love how you shot the flower girl through the arms. Awesome!
