One of my favorite parts of my job is when I get to mix my love of taking pictures with working with some of the most talented people in the whole universe and create a shoot for a magazine! To even one up myself here, it’s even more fun- and challenging- to do this shoot for a magazine cover! With the editors there! And everyone watching! And listening to me breathe and sweat! As much fun as most people think they are, editorial shoots are hard work. Yes, I know, I am literally handed beautiful people and details to photograph… but. It’s still challenging! Since I am a competitive person I delight in the thrill of getting it right for all I am shooting for- the editors especially- as we troubleshoot the cover shot- where the text can go, how to frame everything up to fit for a square magazine layout…and for all of the vendors styling and creating the whole set, so to speak. Everyone wants to walk away with shots that truly represent their work in the best possible way. Yeah, no pressure…!

All in all, this is where I feel I truly thrive- on the pressure and challenge and trouble shooting that an editorial shoot presents. It’s like me against my own brain, and I freaking LOVE it! Come on and meet our team for the day!
