We had some sun last week and Mike and I took FULL advantage of it with our 2010 clients Kelsey and Jeff. We had their engagement session at a beach in Rhode Island, which I am always game for!
Raise your hand if you don’t LOVE Rhode Island beaches!
That’s what I thought!!
Let me introduce you to my friend, Mr.Orville Reddenbocker
So many different looks from one sitting- Kelsey was laughing at my…. ‘enthusiasm’ ….What can I say? I got a good picture out of her reaction!
If I could take a BATH in this light I would…!
Here is Mike’s shot from the same moment….
Playing Where’s Waldo with the ring is kinda fun
Jeff and Kelsey have AMAZING eyes!!
Kelsey needs all the help she can get to reach Jeff- he’s kinda tall and stuff
And it was this very spot where we coined the phrase ‘rock pillow’ Mike shot this very flattering picture of me getting the shot on the left, thank you for that and I owe you one!
As soon as I saw these rocks I knew I wanted to very nicely ask them if they minded laying down on them for this shot- they were more than up for it and Mike and I were PUMPED
Kelsey has THE cutest dimple!!
I love how tender they are with each other, it is so clear to me how in love they are
Check out Mike’s take on this scenario!
So then we turned around, right?
And then I REALLY got my flail on when I saw Queen Anne’s Lace…. it’s my favorite
Check out Mr. Romano in action in his plaid shorts. Also my favorite. The image on the right is what he got
I love the simplicity of the lace and her ring here
It’s like we are in another country or something!
Rhode Island….who knew!? Tell me this isn’t their new state bumper sticker
Love
Who doesn’t like a little foreground background action
or awesome yellow shoes with some awesome yellow light
Mr. Romano gets all grandiose with this shot, right?? I love love love-ity love it
Another Mike Romano special
And for dessert? MIKE ROMANO yet again
So then we change locations, still in Rhode Island, still at a beach we just added a few new elements like water
and holy crazy, an abandoned stone house complete with it’s own mosquito garden! We got no less than one MILLION bug bites while shooting this!
And then we ran like crazy once we finished here. Now Mike and I both forgot our light stands, right? And we were kinda mad because we have been really enjoying rocking our pocket wizards. So what do we do? We become human light stands for each other! Mike held this one for me below
and then we hit the beach!!! It was COMPLETE DARKNESS HERE!!
Not only that, but you can’t see my giant bull of a friend Mike behind them at ALL, and then? Then.
The mist-y hoo ha foggy stuff??? WHAT???!!
Let me commence my freak out
oh there was LOTS of yelling, just ask Kelsey and Jeff
Mike Mike bo bike banana fanna fo fike….. MIKE
who DIS?? Mike. Rocking the flare like CRAZY! I did a good job holding the flash tho right? I’m pretty too?
Yes, Mike is totally hiding behind Jeff. How? Ancient C 10ike secret
What do I even say after this shoot? Thank you seems not enough for being so willing to do all that we asked!!!!
But, thank you!!! We can’t wait for your wedding!
