Being present on the first day of someone’s life is something that I consider to be quite an honor… Yesterday I had the honor of photographing little miss Hazel Sophia, not even a day old. Hazel’s Mommy & Daddy are some of my favorite clients turned favorite people, Paul and Jen. Many of you have seen their images in the header up top and all over the blog over the past year- and now you will get familiar with Miss Hazel!

She is the most precious little angel of a girl, and Jen and Paul couldn’t be more radiant and happy…just the way they looked at her, just made me melt. I remember that feeling, that ‘nice to FINALLY see you, hold you and touch you’ feeling. That feeling that has only been able to be felt right THEN. Right in front of me! Not only did I get to see it, I got to photograph it, and now they have it forever.
I live literally within walking distance of St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, so being able to dash over there for a day one session is easy and one of the highlights of my job- I want to do more of these!
So without further a do… I introduce to you all… little miss Hazel…

of course she was quiet as a mouse until I showed up and un-burrito’d her! Bad photographer, BAD .. ! But dang pictures of little babies crying just tickles me, they are SO adorable
