On Friday February 6, 2009 Carla will be a featured speaker for the Connecticut Professional Photographer’s (CPPA) Annual photography convention in Cromwell, CT. She will talk about blogging and it’s impact on her business. Be sure to check her out!

Carla placed eigth in the Bridal Party category of the international wedding photo competition hosted by the WPJA and Brides.com for the Fall of 2008.
Carla placed first in the Reception category in Wedcomp’s first international wedding photography competition for the Fall of 2008! She had a number of other images place in the same competition as well.
Carla Ten Eyck Photography was chosen as Asuka Books’ very first Studio Spotlight AND the September 2007 Book of the Month for her book titled: ‘See Real Women: Really See Women’ that she photographed and designed to showcase the body of work that she created for her gallery show in October 2007.
Carla received a grant to create the work from the Roberts foundation in Connecticut. She asks all women how they see themselves as their most beautiful and then figures out the best way to photograph their answer.

Carla now hosts a regular workshop at her studio on the first Tuesday of every month called Ten Eyck Tuesdays. For more info click on the ‘workshop’ tab above!
In April 2008 Carla and Steve co-hosted a workshop called the ‘Rediscovery’ Workshop at Carla’s studio in Hartford. Over 25 professional photographers from all over CT and as far away as North Carolina attended the all day intensive.
