Eyes up, heart open
Inyoung and Jonathan’s wedding at L’Escale at The Delamar Hotel in Greenwich, CT this May was an intimate and emotional day that I was so happy to be a part of! Their families traveled from far and wide, and many were meeting for the first time at the wedding. It was sweet watching all of the hugging and camaraderie all day, and everyone made me feel like I was part of the family! The day was steeped in many traditions from both sides, and photographing them all made me so incredibly happy…!
Melissa and Jeff’s wedding at Harkness Memorial park in Waterford had it all…a beautiful, perfect day, a big group of happy family there to celebrate Melissa and Jeff’s vows to one another all in a gorgeous setting! What more could you ask for? Melissa had a smile on her face the entire day, and was calm and happy and so ready to marry Jeff. Mike got to spend the morning with Jeff and his guys in Mystic while me and the ladies spent time at Harkness before the ceremony taking pictures and enjoy the beautiful day. Read More
In early June I flew to Beaver Creek, Colorado to present at one of the most exclusive, amazing and over the top conferences called Engage!14 (this year anyway, as the number changes each year) The conference- created by the genius that is Rebecca Grinnals and Kathryn Arce- was hosted at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch thanks to the super sweet Syd Sexton who I had the pleasure of meeting at my first Engage a few years back at The Mandarin Oriental in Vegas. I remember Syd telling me how amazing Engage! would be there, and I was on board Read More
One wedding that has stood out to me over the years was the classic, beautiful Greek wedding of George and Demetra at Mechanics Hall in Worcester MA. There was so much tradition, family, love, laughing and old school chivalry happening all day, I couldn’t help but smile the entire day. From their families sweet loving ways to the fresh baked pastries and Demetra’s DRESS??? When I saw it for the first time I was over the moon and in love with the texture and color and beading and just…wow…! What a gown!! And that George. So dapper in his Read More
Going to school for photography certainly has its perks. Aside from the crazzyyyy student loans (which I finally paid off in 2012, and I graduated in 1995…yes. yes. omg. YES.) I was lucky enough to get some sizable scholarships to the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester NY (and STILL had sizable loans… what the heck) and while there I not only got my learn on, but I made some pretty amazing friends that have become friends for life. Like, here I am, what, twenty-three years later and these friends from my Brick City days in good ole’ Read More
When I was younger I used to love playing dress up with my dolls. I would set up elaborate houses made of kleenex boxes and weird odds and ends that I would find to substitute for not having the Barbie Dream House! It was bootleg at best, but I had fun getting creative with what I had! Flash forward to today- and I pretty much am the same! Except… that I have friends in the industry who have access to some pretty pretty stuff, add models, sparkly stuff, a beautiful mansion and me and my camera and bada bing! Read More
Nicole and Travis’ classic wedding at the New Haven Lawn Club and the Trinity Episcopal church on the green was filled with so much laughter, love and emotion… it made for the most beautiful wedding day! From her stunning florals by Datura A Modern Garden to her sparkly Jimmy Choo’s it was a feast for the eyes and so much fun for us all to photograph! Thanks to my main second Mike Romano and Lynne for shooting with me for the day! Video by my guy Jim Altieri of Vintage Cinema!
Nicole’s dress was designed by Kenneth Pool, it Read More
It seems as if every New Year’s Eve for the past six years I have had a wedding to photograph, and I can’t say I minded! I love a good party especially on New Year’s Eve and Jessica and Nick’s wedding at the State Room in Boston did not disappoint! We started the day at what is hands down one of my favorite Hotels to photograph in, the Ames Hotel in downtown Boston. Jessica’s suite was like heaven on Earth for me, I just adored shooting here so much.
I took the image below right after she got dressed and Read More
I had so much fun photographing Allie and Max’s wedding at the Wee Burn Beach Club in Darien CT this past fall. Coordinated by Jubilee Events, with sweet, fragrant florals by Peter at Elegant Effects… the whole affair was simply quintessential New England perfection! Since I photographed their rehearsal dinner I got to see their friends and family and how loving, kind and inclusive they all are with each other in a smaller more intimate setting. This made the wedding even more emotional for me to be a witness to…when Allie’s parents saw her as a bride for the Read More
When Max and Allison mentioned they needed rehearsal dinner coverage for their wedding I was pumped! Any chance I get to spend more time with my clients getting to know their families before their event is like social gold for me, and I jumped at the chance! Social Gold! Sprinkle on top the absolutely FABTABULOUS party under a fly Sperry Tent they threw and I was like a photographer surrounded by buckets of bacon! Wait… I really and truly was! There were literally buckets of pretty (and edible) bacon! There was a bourbon tasting bar, and the most awesome flowers Read More
