InterContinental Boston Wedding

Christina and Ryan’s Greek meets Irish wedding at the InterContinental Boston (in, you guessed it, Boston) was filled with color and family and THAT GOWN! and just all of the things that make doing what I do as a photographer soul-fulfilling. Christina and Ryan’s obvious love for their families and the hustle and bustle of a busy wedding day kept the day moving at full speed ahead, and just made the day fly by! I knew the ceremony would be emotional, as both Ryan and Christina have lost their fathers, and I know not having your Dad there to walk you down the aisle or see you exchange vows with the love of your life can be a heart breaking experience. There was candlelight, and laughter, and tears, and a wedding ceremony performed in both English and Greek. I love the crowns and the walking and just all of it, not to mention the sly smiles they kept exchanging. Pure magic! Their wedding was on one of those days when we were all wishing winter would just stoppit already because it was the middle of April, and Spring was supposed to be wrapping us all in her sweet mild weather arms! It was blustery, chilly and raw, but you would never know it because Christina just grabbed her gown and bopped around outside until the wind was just too much to bear!

These three were three of the most adorable little boys. They were so extra careful with their white jackets and were perfect little gentlemen the entire day! Also: can you please appreciate how much their family loves and appreciates photographs! I loved seeing so many displayed all around the house!

I love this photograph that my second photographer Sarah got oh Christina holding her Mom’s hand while her sister adjusts her veil, right before she walks down the aisle.

Christina had to take a moment as she prepared to walk down the aisle with her Mom. I love how we can see the pendant hanging from her bouquet holding a photo of her Dad. He was with you.

After the wind became too much for us, we snuck into the vestibule of the hotel and just let that light wrap itself around the two of them and created some really lovely portraits! Who knew it would be such a dynamic spot for some private photographs!

Their faces as they see the ballroom for the first time before all of the guests come in! Amazing job Jimmy!!

While Christina was getting bustled, Ryan took a moment to read the dedication written for both of their fathers.

I had a blast photographing these absolutely STUNNING details in their ballroom! WOW!

A fun bit of entertainment was when they had a Greek musician ‘battling’ an Irish bagpiper! I love how the guitarist is like, throwin’ some musical shade at the bag piper, challenging him to bring it on!

Christina surprised Ryan with an Irish Step Dancing performance! It was so fun to watch!

This ‘before the family picture happens here’s the chaos that ensues’ photo! It’s classic!

Congrats to you both- Christina and Ryan- thank you for trusting me with your day, I had so much fun with you both! XOXOXOX
